In Spain olive oil toast is like bread and butter! Make sure to use good quality local olive oil and sea salt flakes for an authentic taste. Remember olive oil is healthier than butter so why not give it a try!
Ingredients
  • Sliced French Bread
  • Terra Alta Vineyard Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Nutella
Instructions
  1. Toast the bread.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil.
  3. Spread with Nutella (optional)
  4. Sprinkle with sea salt.
Notes
Olive oil is an essential part of the Mediterranean Diet and is considered heart healthy. It has less saturated fats than butter. It also contains oleic acid (a monounsaturated fatty acid) which is anti-inflammatory and has many health benefits.

Simple as one, two, three! Just toast, drizzle and sprinkle! Break your butter habit and try it for breakfast!

You can tell that these ceramic plates that say “Puka i Liz” are well used! They were a wedding gift from our dear friends Alex and Meme. We use them everyday!

This is a favorite after school snack for many children and adults alike! At our house the Nutella jar barely lasts a week! The Bokisch boys (and mom too) sneak spoonfuls and love to spread it on toast. The savory olive oil, sweet nutty Nutella and the touch of sea salt flakes is simply divine. You can also try melting milk chocolate to spread if the Nutella is too sweet for your taste.

When I talked about these ceramic plates above, I didn’t explain that Markus’s nickname is Puka! It comes from “spucken” which means “spitter” in German. When he was a baby he would spit his food, his brother shortened it to Puka and it stuck!

Our Estate Grown Terra Alta Olive Oil makes a perfect gift! It is naturally unfiltered and oozing with delicious flavor!
